Smoothies are a great way to drink yourself to health. They are easy to make and perfect for on the go, plus with the right ingredients, they can be packed with vitamins, minerals, nutrients and enzymes. One smoothie can be equivalent to two bowls of vegetables, so if you struggle to get in those greens, just blend it instead!

Did you know that 80% of all the nutrients our bodies need can be derived from fruits and vegetables? So it’s important to be eating at least two bowls of vegetables and two pieces of fruit per day. However many people struggle to achieve this as they live very busy lifestyles. That is why making smoothies is a perfect way to get in all your daily nutrients in just one sip. For Energy

Have you been feeling tired? Don’t reach for a cup of coffee but instead try this smoothie bend. The mint and chia will release natural energy into the body and the apple will help to sustain your energy levels all day.

Ingredients:

  • 3 mint leaves
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 apple
  • 1 tsp lime
  • 1 tsp raw honey

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Then either drink as is or sieve.

For Recovery

Orange fruits and vegetables have carotenoids, which repair cell damage and promote recovery. Coconut water replenishes the electrolytes lost through perspiration also helping you to recover quicker.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 mango
  • ½ cup carrots
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • ¼ cup orange juice

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Then either drink as is or sieve.

This supergreen smoothie is packed with nutrients, vitamins, minerals and enzymes that will help your body excrete toxins and clean your digestive system.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • ½ green apple
  • 1 tsp LSA mix
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • ½ cup cucumber

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Then either drink as is or sieve.

Green tea is a natural thermogenic, meaning it boosts your metabolism. The berries are full of antioxidants, which helps to break down fats and the banana will help you feel fuller for longer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of green tea (1 green tea bag in cup of boiling water and then chilled in fridge)
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • Ice

Place the tea bag in half a cup of boiling water. Let it sit for 2 minutes. Then Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Serve.
