Karen lost 6.4kg dropping her body fat percentage from 42.1% to 36.9% (-5.2%) and her waist reduced by nearly 9cm. Her visceral fat levels (bad fat around the organs) dropped from 15 to 11 and her health score jumped from 64 to an astounding 70 by the end of the 8 week program. Remarkale results!

I did the challenge to get in control of my body and life. I used to be fit and athletic but after a knee reconstruction…my exercise levels drastically reduced while I did rehab…but I didn’t reduce my food intake to match. My clothes got tighter and I began to feel less and less confident. Now I feel in control and I feel stronger and fitter. The constant support from Laska and my new friends was fantastic and I learned so much from the challenge that I know I will be able to continue my journey and get to my ideal weight.

Michelle’s after photos show a total transformation and is testament to her utter commitment and dedication to her weight loss goals. She is now only 1kg away from her ideal weight and no doubt she will reach that in no time.
Her story: Michelle realized she needed to do something about her weight because her clothes were getting tighter and tighter. Phyllis* decided to the 8 Week Challenge to lose 5kgs, improve her fitness and understand food nutrition better in order to make better choices. She achieved her 5kg weight loss target in 7 weeks and went on to lose an additional 1.4kg by the end of the challenge taking her total weight loss over 8 weeks to 6.4kgs.
“I loved the challenge. All of it. The trainers, the group was heaps of fun, the learning, the Sunday challenges and the friendships and bonds. I found the nutrition information fantastic – I am so much better educated and informed.

Margaret* was already eating the right foods and training 5-6 days a week. Even with all that, she was finding it hard to hard to lean down further. Her goal for the challenge was to get to 60kg. With some tweaks to calories and meal frequency Margaret lost steadily lost small amounts week after week and managed to lose 3kg during the challenge. She is now only 1kg away from her goal weight.
Christine* was totally dissatisfied with the way she felt and looked. Her goals for the challenge were to lose excess weight, tone up and get fit and healthy. She says: “Sunday workouts with the other challengers were terrific. There was such a sense of camaraderie and support within the group. I learned so much about food groups, better eating habits and portion control. It was great getting that in-depth understanding of how food affects your body – I was surprised how much alcohol affects body weight – and new nutrition habits are with me now for life.
My biggest achievement was running 400m in under 2 minutes – that was something I never thought I could achieve! Overall results were fantastic and it was so good to see a massive improvement from when I started.

Andrew wanted a ‘go back 10 years kickstart’ and he certainly did that by losing 5.5kg and 6.5cm off his waist.
He says: “The group camaraderie was fantastic and I really enjoyed the challenger training. My biggest achievement was hitting all my fitness targets and knowing that Karen and I are set up to keep going on our weight loss journeys.
Zoe’s goal wasn’t about losing weight, although she did end up losing 1.1kg – it was more about increasing muscle definition, building body strength and re-learn healthy eating habits. Even with a small drop in weight, Zoe’s pictures show a flatter side profile and reduced body fat in the rear view.

This lady I have crowned the Dynamic Boxing Queen of Weight Loss! I took her Before photos back in January, just before the start of the February Challenge which she took part in. I took her photos early because she was shrinking before my very eyes since she started training with us a few weeks prior and I wanted to document the start of her weight loss journey.
Since then she has continued to steadily lose weight, overcoming hurdles such as sugar addiction in the process so that since starting with us 15 months ago she has lost a staggering 26kg!!!
I said to Pauline that she is ‘a bloody legend’. She says: “Right back at you! The 1st day at DBF is still very fresh in my mind….. Killed me. It’s so so good. Life changing in fact. Omg. Unbelievable. I feel so much better!
Julie’s intention was to lose 5kg by the end of the challenge and get a flatter stomach. Instead, she lost 6.8kg. Because she’s wearing the same top, you can clearly see the difference in the fit and silhouette.
Debbie’s aim was to lose those last few stubborn kilos that so many of us have trouble shifting. She lost 4kg in the Body Transform Challenge and 5.5cm off her waist giving her a leaner, more streamlined silhouette in all pics.
Debbie says “The Nutrition Seminar was fantastic and it certainly cleared up a few things for me. The weekly check-ins with Laska were indispensable as I could ask questions about what I was doing wrong or right each week.

Martin’s aim was to reduce to around 95kg and tone up. By the end of the challenge he lost a sensational 10.3kg and get this 13cm around his waist! You can clearly see that loss from his waistline.

In fact the food advice was fantastic, I didn’t know half of what I know now about good nutrition. I loved having the support from Pam and the other challengers. I really did not know how unfit I was till I saw my photos.
We have another standout here in Angela. Angela lost an incredible 9.4kg over 8 weeks, 6cm off her waist and 34.9cm from her total body measurements!
Angela says ” I have gone on to lose another 1.3 kg in the week following the end of the challenge taking my total loss to 10.6kg in 9 weeks. I have now achieved my long term target weight.
I’ve gone from 61 pushups in 3 minutes to 102, and I’ve improved my 400m run time from 2 minutes 21seconds to 1 minute 48 seconds. Loving all the results and loving the new me!!!
I found the food easy and surprisingly, not drinking wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. I enjoyed the feedback from the mentors and listening to sound advice by Laska to other challengers.
But most of all coming into a weigh in and consistently losing weight was the most satisfying thing. I can certainly tell you what I dreaded the most – Sunday morning challenges!!!
I would say to anyone thinking of doing this challenge: Don’t hesitate just do it! (I sound like a Nike Ad). As mentioned to Laska I have previously trained in gyms for 20 years. After the birth of my son I struggled with my weight, which was unheard of for me who weighed no more that 58 kilos. I tried meal plans, tried exercising in a gym, tried detox programs nothing worked. Dynamic Boxing has been the best thing I have ever undertaken. The results were quick, it was hard work however the most rewarding thing I have undertaken in a long time. A credit to Laska , Pam and all the instructors. A special thanks also to Claire for pushing me a little bit further every Thursday. Every time she would wear the naughty or nice t- shirt I knew that she would push us just that bit further.

The success stories keep on coming with yet another sensational transformation in Kathleen who lost a total of 7.7kg during the challenge.
Her goal was to get fitter, stronger and healthier. To kick alcohol and to improve her sleeping patterns. Well she’s done that and more and looks absolutely amazing!
Yet another standout of the most recent Body Transform Challenge. Mary annihilated the challenge when she lost 10kg and 9cm off her waist. Since the challenge she has continued to shed kilos taking her total weight loss to 13.9kg. I have no doubt that she will keep her weight loss going till she reaches her goal weight.
Mary says: “After 2 years of what I thought was strenuous exercise, my weight and abilities did not alter. Watching the amazing transformations around me of my fellow boxers taking on “The 8 week challenge” it was obvious this was the course I must take.
Walking out after my first consultation with Laska, I felt confident that I had the tools to take on this challenge, and succeed.
After 4 days I jumped on the scales and BAM! It had started to drop already.
This was even more encouraging, bring on the next weigh in!!!!
The nutritional seminar was invaluable. In fact I find myself on occasions quoting Laska, not preaching, just passing on many unknown truths about food, and what our bodies need.

One other thing I have to add about Dynamic Boxing is the people. Yes our leaders are awesome, but the supportive and motivational crew of fellow boxers makes sweating and exhaustion fun.
I completed my challenge with amazing results, and continue to grow stronger and achieve my own goals and milestones. The 8 weeks may be over but I’m just starting.

Lyn has been a standout success story, going from often forgetting to eat, yet very slowly gaining weight over time. The challenge has been a great learning experience for her, her metabolism has increased, and a total loss of 5kg and 7cm around her waist has changed her silhouette for the better.
Lyn decided to do the 8 Week Challenge because of ” The need for change; I allowed negative thoughts about my self-worth to affect my everyday life, the consequences of which was poor eating, no energy, lack of movement and the inevitable weight gain. Mentally and physically I respond to well to exercise, so when I received the Dynamic Boxing Newsletter about the challenge, that was my wake up call – it was time to take back control!
The nutrition workshop and having a structured meal plan was fantastic – it took the guesswork out of what to eat and when. My biggest achievement during the challenge was losing 5kg and the fact that it is no longer a challenge, it’s now part of my daily life.
Since being on the challenge and regaining my energy, I realised how little television I now watch, if at all, I no longer want to sit in front of the ‘idiot box’! There are so many more things I do now, even if it’s just going for a walk.

Marlene smashed the recent April-June Body Transform Challenge! In only 8 weeks she lost 10.2kg and 10cm around her waist and is looking absolutely fantastic! At first Marlene said:
“OMG!!! Laska, who is that person standing next to me???? I can’t believe it!!! HOLY —-!!!I am shocked! Now I can definitely see where the 10kg have gone! OMG I will hang those photos around the house!! Never going back there again!!!
When she calmed down she said:
“I lost a total of 10.2kg on the 8 week challenge which I never thought would be possible! Lost 10cm off my waist, 7 cm off my hips, 4cm off my thighs and toned up my arms. I decided to bite the bullet and give the challenge a go after I’d watched so many previous challengers dropping weight and looking so good so I knew Laska’s programs really worked. Kelly’s goal for the 8 Week Challenge was to lose 5kg and be a healthy role model for her daughter. She ended up losing 8.7kg and whittled her waist by 12cm!
She says: “My biggest achievement is losing 12cm off my waist and being able to run 400m without stopping. It was all worth it to hear my daughter say to me that when she grows up and has children she wants to be just like me, fit and healthy’.
Karen’s original goal was to lose 5-6kg during the 8 Week Challenge. During the course of the challenge she revised her goal to 10kg. By the end of the challenge she lost 10.4kg and 10cm off her waist.

Natasha* lost an impressive 7.6kgs and 9.5cm off her waist by the end of the April 8 Week Body Transform Challenge.
Natasha shares with us: “I did the challenge because I wanted to improve my fitness and get my waist measurement down to recommended figures and to prevent diabetes in the future. There is a huge difference in Chelsea’s shape with the loss of 5kg and 9.5cm around her waist. Chelsea now feels that she is performing better in javelin and is leading the pack during fitness drills…no wonder; she is the highest female scorer on the beep test at Dynamic.

Greg lost 4 kgs and 4cm off his waist when he took part in the 28 Day Kick Start Challenge. A combination of boxing classes three times a week and following a basic diet plan that encourages 5 small meals a day made up of protein, carbohydrate and good fat saw him lose the weight and motivated him to keep going.
Nawan lost 5.1kg in the four weeks leading up to the challenge when she first started with Dynamic. During the challenge she lost a further 9.8kgs and 16cm off her waist. That’s a total weight loss of almost 15kg in 20 weeks. Star!
Eric lost 7kg and 10cm off his waist. Weight loss and boxing training soon got his stomach looking much better!
John lost 7.7kgs and 8.5cm off his waist. You can see his abs starting to come through. He’s still going strong on his weigh loss journey and I’ll keep you up to date regarding his progress.
My biggest achievement would have to be my six pack! From flab to abs! My running abilities have improved out of sight, not to mention my overall fitness and strength. Overall my physique has changed into a leaner and stronger body.”
Pam’s original goal was to get fitter and stronger. She certainly accomplished that and more. Her fitness levels increased from a beep test score of 5.4 to 8.2, she smashed 3 minutes off the 1000 steps. She started with 105 pushups in 3 minutes and now she can do 182.
In fact, Pam is the bodyweight champion of Dynamic Boxing. She clocks in at 2 mins 24 secs for the bodyweight cardio drill consisting of 10 burpees, 20 mountain climbers and 20 double squats. This cardio drill is normally completed in 3 minutes by the fittest of the fit. Pam’s time remains unequaled.
“The challenge was fun and informative. I got through the hard at times with the support of Laska and the other challengers, made lots of new friends and had a ball. The lectures on nutrition were excellent. I had no idea at the start, and now I make better choices for myself and my family. You did a fantastic job Laska. You made us look so great and feel so beautiful inside and out!
My biggest achievement was finally shifting 5 stubborn kilos from around my middle over a period of 6 weeks during the 12 week challenge. I now feel amazing, my fitness has increased dramatically and even my skin has improved!”
Erica’s goal had been to simply lose 5kgs. Those were the stubborn kilos around her middle, that no matter what she did, she could not get rid of. Erica did that and more. She started the challenge quite fit as she had already been participating in boxing classes for a few months. However, Erica also managed to increase her fitness from level 7.2 on the beep test to 10.1 and increasing her strength from 67 to 111 push ups in three minutes.
I enjoyed our weekly lectures and found them fantastic at keeping me going throughout the challenge. Each Monday night kept me focused and maintained my motivation to continue. The lectures supported all the hard physical work we were putting in. I don’t believe I would have seen the same results if it were one without the other. I also loved meeting up with the group throughout the 12 weeks – it was great to know we were all in it together and there to support each other.
I love getting up in the morning and not cringing at my reflection in the mirror. I’m confident in what I wear and in who I am – no more muffin top for me! My goal was to increase my fitness and strength and to build muscle tone. My fitness had plateaued and I wanted something to help me get to the next level and improve my energy and confidence. Well, I lost the flab on my tummy and arms and my body is more toned and defined, and I lost almost 4kg in the process!
My cardiovascular fitness has improved from a beep test result of 6.8 to 9.3, and I can now do 95 full length push-ups in 3 minutes.
I found Laska’s examination of our food diaries and the nutrition advice provided most useful. There’s a lot of confusing and conflicting information out there; Laska presented the information in an easy to understand format that made sense. I have changed my eating habits. Quality food, good carbs and protein, are fuelling my performance. My metabolism has improved and I am feeling excellent!

This is such a great place to be if you have worked hard, been disciplined and gotten results. The rewards of feeling great are almost beyond description. The elation overflows into every aspect of your life. The sense of achievement and over your day-to-day activities is overwhelming. You are in the driver’s seat of your own destiny. It’s amazing how much personal growth and power you can gain from simply re-shaping, toning and sculpting your body. Being in control is a marvelous feeling!
