Question: When does the Challenge start?

The challenge will begin Monday 6th June.

 

Question: Where does the challenge take place?

The Challenge and all consultations with Laska will take place at the Scout Hall at Macleay Park, Belmore Road, Balwyn North 3104.
Boxing Classes as per normal timetable run from the Scout Hall and surrounding outdoor facilities at Macleay Park.

 

Question: What else does the challenge involve?

The Challenge is made up of 3 elements. You do NOT have to participate in all the elements if you do not wish to or are unable to because of injury:

Weight Loss Element

Weight Loss will be measured by a combination of scale weight loss and tape measurements. Your results will be clearly evident by a reduction in scale weight, reduction in cm measurements and by visual evidence via your before and after photos.

Benchmark measurements and before photos will be taken at a mutually convenient time the week before the official start of the challenge. Contact Laska directly for bookings.

Fitness Element

A running test called the Beep Test will be performed at the start of the challenge to set a fitness benchmark. It will be run again at the end of the challenge to assess progress and determine the outcome. To improve your fitness you will be participating in regular boxing classes, HIT sessions and Challenger Only training sessions.

Strength Element

Strength will be measured in pushups. How many can you do in 3 minutes? We will set a benchmark at the start of the challenge. You’ll be thrilled with your progress when we do the test again the end of the challenge.
Choose your pushup style eg full length, on knees, tricep pushup etc..and then stick to it so that results can be directly comparable. Changing from one style to another during the 3 minute test will not be permitted.

Question: What type of training can I expect?

Sessions are high intensity in nature meaning they burn loads of calories to help you achieve your weight loss goals quickly and effectively. They include a mix of boxing, interval training, resistance band running, bodyweight workouts, use of weights for resistance and much more.

Our classes are effective in eliminating adaptation and to smash through fitness plateaus to take you to the next level in your fitness journey. They also burn lots and lots of calories; not just during the session but for hours after the session is over. These sessions burn more calories overall than an hour and a half at the gym, performing a long, drawn-out workout. Therefore or classes are ideal to help you lose weight.

The great thing about our workouts is that they are so much fun! Training hard is easy when you’ve got the support of your challenger buddies and you’re enjoying a wide variety of exciting activities. You’ll feel amazing after…and of course, the weight loss results over 8 weeks are dramatic!

 

Question: Do I have to attend the “Nutrition for Weight Loss” Seminar and what do we learn in it?

The Nutrition For Weight Loss Seminar will take on the first Saturday of the challenge from 9.30am-12.30pm at the scout hall.You don’t have to attend the seminar, however it is highly recommended that you do. Members who participate in the seminar are even more likely to not only get to their goal weight, but keep it off permanently.
A thorough understanding of nutrition and how it relates to weight control is critical to maintaining your results in the long term. If you understand why you need to eat a certain way or why you need to replace certain foods with better choices, then you are more likely to actually do it and not only get results, but keep them.The purpose of this workshop is to teach you everything you need to know about nutrition for general health and well-being, weight loss and optimising athletic performance.
By the end of the challenge, armed with the information you need, you will be able to make the best food and cooking choices to keep yourself and your family in the best health, and never ever put on unwanted kilos again.

Some of the topics covered are:

  • What are carbohydrates, which ones should I eat and when should I eat them, how much of them should I eat?
  • How much protein am I meant to have?
  • How many calories should I consume to lose a certain amount of weight?
  • What do those calories look like on a plate?
  • What should the ratio of protein to carbohydrates to fats be?
  • Practical exercises to ensure we understand the material
  • How to spot a fad diet and avoid it like the plague.

Question: What do the consults involve and what times are available?

During your consults, you and your trainer will discuss your fitness and weight loss goals and break them up into small, achievable steps. Together, you will look at what changes need to be made to your exercise regimen, nutrition and lifestyle in order to achieve your goals. These changes must be doable, realistic and sustainable so that you can maintain your results permanently.

Consults will involve before and after photos, measurements at the start, middle and end of challenge, and weekly weigh ins.

Laska is available for consults on:

Most mid-mornings from 9.15am-1pm
Saturday mornings from 6am to 12pm
Sunday mornings from 8am-9.30am

Consult times must be booked directly with Laska. If any of the above times do not suit, alternative arrangements must be made with Laska for a consult at a mutually convenient time.

Your weekly consult will keep you accountable because with a weekly food diary analysis, you’ll think twice before reaching for that second glass of wine.
The provision of personalised diet advice that works in tandem with the information gained in the seminar will help you achieve maximum results in minimum time.

Question: Who can participate in the Challenge?

Members and non members alike are welcome to participate in this 8 week challenge. Anyone under the age of 18 will require parental consent. If you have any medical conditions then you must have your medical practitioner’s written consent.

Question: What if I am unfit, cannot run or have injuries? Can I still participate?

Of course! At Dynamic Boxing Fitness we ensure that you as a challenger receive the individual attention you need to achieve your goals safely and effectively. This means modifying your training to suit your abilities and to ensure you exercise safely, while maintaining effectiveness.

Boxing classes and HIT sessions have the flexibility to cater for your individual needs and requirements by the omission, or substitution of unsuitable exercises or modifying an exercise to make it safer for you. Your Take Home Workout Program is personalised to suit your abilities and to address your specific needs or problem areas. Your trainer will take you through your program first to ensure you perform the exercises safely and effectively.

 Question: What is the refund policy?

We do not offer a refund on the cost of the challenge so please ensure this product is right for you by asking all the relevant questions. We do offer a 7 Day No Obligation Free Trial on Group Boxing Classes which you must redeem and complete prior to the start of the challenge, to help you decide whether the intensive Body Transform Challenge is right for you.

We do not have long term contracts. Membership for Group Boxing Classes can be cancelled at any time after a minimum period of 12 weeks.

Question: Is there a minimum term for membership?

At Dynamic Boxing we do not have long term contracts. However there is a minimum period that must be served before suspensions or cancellations of membership. The minimum period is 12 weeks.

Question: Can I use the 7 Day Trial, a coupon or special offer membership for the training component of the challenge?

Due to the intensive nature of this challenge and the phenomenal amount of effort our trainers put into making your weight loss goals a reality, discounted or free training in the form of the 7 Day Trial, coupon membership or any other special offers are not available with any of our weight loss programs and challenges.

You may however redeem and complete a 7 Day Free Trial on Group Boxing Classes prior to the start of the challenge to help you decide whether the intensive Body Transform Challenge or any other challenge or weight loss program, is right for you.

Question: How do I pay?

We accept Mastercard or Visa (No American Express or Diners).
The Challenge must be paid for upfront in full prior to the start of the challenge.
10 pass cards for Group Boxing Classes must be paid for upfront.
Membership for Group Boxing Classes is paid for on a fortnightly or monthly basis by direct debit.

Question: Will my photographs be used on social media and other marketing?

Yes your photographs will be used for marketing purposes to ensure the longevity of the Dynamic 8 Week Body Transform Challenge. Any successful weight loss program requires social proof of the results we can obtain for people in order to inspire new clients who will in turn have their lives transformed.
Please note: If you choose to not have before and after photos taken, that will be your single most biggest regret, I guarantee it. Remember also that it is imperative to not ‘set yourself up for failure’. I have been doing this for a long time and I know how you think….”it doesn’t matter if I fail if no-one sees”… Well it does matter. There is no room for failure in the Body Transform Challenge, only bucket loads of accountability from every direction to ensure your success. When you decide to take on my challenge, tell everyone you know. Take it on with guns blazing and fierce determination to succeed. There can be no other way. You only get out what you put in.

Having said that, if it means the difference between you choosing to do the challenge or not, then I am happy to protect your identity by concealing your face and giving you a false name.

Question: Is this challenge suitable for vegetarians?

Unfortunately my program in unsuitable for vegetarians.
